Privacy Policy

Early Clue ("we", "us") is an early-signal radar for creators in tech and AI, published under the Dalek persona. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. We keep data collection to the minimum the service needs.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you subscribe to the daily signal. At the moment you subscribe we also store the IP address and browser user-agent of that request, only to prevent abuse of the signup form.
• Server logs. Like any website, our server records standard access logs (IP address, the page requested, timestamp, user-agent) for security and to understand basic traffic. These are not linked to your identity.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not run cross-site trackers.

Why we use it

• To send you the daily digest email you asked for.
• To operate, secure, and debug the service.

The radar itself processes publicly available content from sources such as GitHub, Hacker News, arXiv, Product Hunt and public newsletters. That is information about topics, not personal data about you.

Lawful basis

We rely on your consent for the newsletter (you can withdraw it at any time), and on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure for the limited technical logs above.

Who we share it with

We send the digest email through Resend, our email delivery provider, which processes your address only to deliver our emails. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe, after which it is marked inactive and is no longer used to send you anything. Server logs are kept only for a short operational window and then rotated out.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, or delete your personal data, and object to its processing. The fastest way to stop all emails is the one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom of every digest. To exercise any other right, contact us (see below) and we will respond.

International users

The service is operated from the European Union. If you subscribe from elsewhere, your data is processed under this policy and EU data-protection standards.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the daily email.
